San Jose: Discourse on the Goswamis of Vridavan and more

Monday 23 April 2007 Sripad Sarvabhavana Prabhu gave a very nice discourse on Sriman Mahaprabhu, the Six Goswamis, Gadadhar Pandit, and more. Tuesday 17 April 2007 From Divine Guidance, Chapter Two, 'On the Way to Sri Puri-Dham' By His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev-Goswami Maharaj

When Uddhava went to Vrndavan he was so charmed by seeing the Gopis' love, their devotion, their attraction, and their affection for Krishna, that he said, "For life after life, I only desire one thing: I want to become a speck of dust in Vrndavan. Not only that, I want to be one of those who are worthy of receiving that dust -- the plants and creepers of Vrndavan -- and live here for all eternity. Here in the land of Vrndavan, Krishna has performed His Pastimes, and His companions, the Gopis, also roam around here. If I can be born as a small creeper so that I may get the dust of their lotus feet on my head, that will be my highest fortune."

Such are the glories of Krishna, and the intense feeling of separation from Him -- Vipralambha. Mahaprabhu has shown us the highest limit of that Vipralambha in Sri Nilachala-Dham. Click here for the full story

March 31st, 2007: Kum Kum Devi, the head of the San Jose Seva Ashram, recently returned from a visit to Nabadwip and Gurudeva's lotus feet. She gave a beautiful talk about Sri Caitanyadev's Sikshastakam, as well as relating some of her recent experiences at our Math in India:

"When our Guru saw people coming across the street from one aroti to the next he would happily chant and then say how many people he saw coming and He said "Krishna is accepting our service." So the position of such a great soul as our Acharya, who is all day, all year, no matter what His personal health or the difficulty to Himself, trying to give guidance and some assistance to people who are seeking Reality. So the summation is when He sees us taking part in these practices then He is feeling like His prayers are being answered, because He;s praying for us, for our benefit. So we are in very good hands. And that is probably the most important message that I got from Him for all the devotees: to please partake in this and to participate."
